What are the benefits of PTT?
Depending on the subscription level they can give you pretty much full access to your vehicle. This includes all troubleshooting information, resetting / adjusting parameters, and reprogramming.
You’ll have the same equipment that the dealers use. You get dealer level information, so you will always be able to figure out what is the cause of your issues.
What are the problems with PTT?
Internet Access: You need to be connected to the internet to access certain features and functions.
Difficult to navigate: You need special training to know how to use the software. It’s hard to remember where certain functions are located.
Time Consuming: It takes a long time to get the program started and connected to your vehicle to perform diagnostics. It can take up to 20 minutes per truck to ensure a full connectivity.
Difficult to troubleshoot issues: If you have a problem connecting to your vehicle then you are on your own to figure out why because Volvo does not have a robust technical support team to help you diagnose your issues. Example: CAN bus data errors that prevent the tool to connect to PTT.

3.1.Power supply and tachograph type detection For all tachograph types, except for the K13xx/1318 and the FTCO1319, the programmer is powered by the tachograph itself. An automatic tachograph type detection is executed on power ON, so don’t switch the programmer ON, simply connect it to the tachograph with the appropriate cable. The programmer will switch ON and detect the tachograph type. In the case of the K13xx/1318 and the FTCO1319, switch the programmer ON pressing the ‘I/O’ key. If the FTCO1319 is connected, the programmer will detect it. To switch the programmer OFF, press and hold the ‘I/O’ key. If no tachograph is detected, the K13xx/1318 will be selected by default. OOn power ON, the programmer will display the product information (Software version, Serial number, etc…), then the menu for the tachograph type detected.

Activation performed using Teamviewer (included in product price) is required before the JPRO Commercial Vehicle Diagnostics application can be used.

Notes: – For the appropriate vehicle adapter driver must be installed in order to connect to an adapter device. This installation is separate and independent of the JPRO Commercial Vehicle Diagnostics installation. – Are supported only next adapters: Noregon DLA+ 2.0 DLA+ 2.0 Wireless Trailer Diagnostic Adapter DLA+ DLA+ Wireless DLA+ PLC – The Noregon DLA+ 2.0, DLA+ 2.0 Wireless, DLA+, or DLA+ Wireless adapters are required in order to connect to the Ford, GM, Isuzu, or Sprinter Medium-Duty vehicles. Please ensure you have the latest driver and firmware loaded. – To connect to Ford, use the OBD-II cable for Ford (red). – To connect to GM, use the OBD-II cable for GM (yellow). – To connect to Sprinter, use the OBD-II cable for Sprinter (Blue for DLA+ adapter family and Gray for the DLA+ 2.0 adapter family). – To connect to Hino or Isuzu use the generic OBD-II cable (Blue or Gray). – The JPRO Off-Highway for Caterpillar only supports the following adapters and cables: Noregon DLA+ 2.0 or DLA+ 2.0 Wireless Adapter
Problem: I have a BMW ICOM Next. I upgraded firmware for it. Now it cannot be find by itool radar software. I tried restore using USB flash method. However when I reset Icom by press and hold the pin hole near USB port, but does not happen on my Icom Next.
SOLVED by re-injecting via USB key files : “USER.settings” and “user.settings.log” (can find in “Restore ICOM.7z” in ISTA installation package) ICOM IP address was lost and now all OK !!!!
